Although I’m a supporter of Fairtrade items and helping out vendors through my wallet when I can, I do think it’s economical to buy second-hand if you can.
In selling and buying second hand computers I could earn a huge profit than dealing with the fresher ones. The secret here is that I have to face so many competitors when selling a new computer. So I have to keep my profit margin very low to stay in the market. But, when I sell out second hand ones, I get profit both in buying and selling. When I buy back the used systems, I offer special discounts if they purchase new computers. So the customers grab this opportunity and buy new systems from me. But they would not know that I take back their used system for a lower price to compensate the discount. Thus I get two businesses. Also, I get a profit when sell out that second hand system, which too brings me good profit. Thus dealing with second hand items will bring us more profit than the fresher ones.
