If you are resigned to not being able to afford the best food processors, you can take consolation in the fact that value for money is available all the way down the price range. Even for twenty pounds you can buy a basic Magimix which has various attachments and will save you dozens of hours in a year. It all depends on which point you are starting from. If you already own a working mid-range processor, there is little point in buying an entry-level model unless it is for your children to learn from. But if you are used to preparing food using nothing more than a sharp knife and a chopping board you will be astonished by how quickly a food processor can deal with basic tasks like chopping an onion or squeezing oranges.
At the upper end, you have models like Kenwood’s Titanium – a mighty food processor. But is it the best? Only if you already have experience with a mixer and can make use of the additional attachments and power of the motor.
